Two arrested for fake bomb threat at Parkdale High School
Two juveniles have been arrested for allegedly making a false bomb threat at Parkdale High School in Riverdale, Md.
Prince George’s County Police responded to the bomb threat around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. When officers reached the school in the 6000 block of Good Luck Road, two students told them they were approached by a male who asked where the school principal was.
He threatened the students, saying if he did not receive the information, he would blow up Parkdale High School with a bomb, police say the students told them.
However, detectives traced the initial phone call of the bomb threat to one of the student’s cell phones. They were charged with false statement of a destructive device and conspiracy to commit a false statement of a destructive device, police said in a news release. They have been released to their parents on their own recognizance.
