Two at hospital after SE fire
An adult and a child were taken to an area hospital after they were rescued from a fire in Southeast D.C. Monday evening. Firefighters were called around 8 p.m. to a 3-story apartment building in the 4000 block of 3rd St Southeast.
Fire officials say fire a fire on the second floor was quickly extinguished. The adult and child suffered smoke inhalation.
