WATCH: Metro fare-skipping teens
In another case of youths acting badly on Metro, a group of teens in a youtube video can be seen entering and leaving Metro stations without using their Metro cards.
In one video, first reported by the Examiner.com, a group of teens can be heard boasting as they approach a Metro station and don’t use their Metro passes.
It follows some high profile incidents of teens allegedly committing crimes in or on Metro, including D.C. Superior Court Judge Stephen Milliken getting robbed by a teen on a train. In another, a group of youths can be seen beating a man at the L'Enfant station.
"Fare evasion is a concern and we enforce fare evasion violations on a daily basis," Cathy Asato, Metro spokeswoman, tells Examiner.com. "It is challenging to catch all of them.”
