Water main break closes road in Northeast

UPDATE (7:56 a.m.): D.C. Water says that they estimate work to be completed in the area of the water main break at about 2:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, 30 homes and one school area affected by the break of the 16" water main. Crews have set up a work one on South Dakota Avenue between 19th and 20th Street NE.
That portion of South Dakota Avenue will remain closed while repairs are made.
UPDATE (6:30 a.m.): Officials say crews have identified the source of the break and the water has been cut off. The road remains closed.
ORIGINAL: D.C. Water reports a water main break at the intersection of South Dakota Avenue and Perry Street in Northeast.
Crews are on the scene investigating.
