Weekend Metro repairs to cause delays on four lines
WASHINGTON (AP, WJLA) - Track work will cause delays on four of the five Metro lines this weekend.
Metro says customers should add 20 minutes to their travel times when riding through areas where trains will share one track because of improvements.
On the Red Line, trains will single-track between Shady Grove and Twinbrook.
Single-tracking on the Orange and Blue Lines will take place between Eastern Market and Stadium Armory. On the Arlington County portion of the Orange Line, trains will once again share a track between Vienna and West Falls Church.
The Blue and Yellow Lines will see delays and single-tracking between National Airport and Braddock Road.
All track work will begin late Friday night and stretch through the system's closing on Sunday.
