Weekend Metro repairs to close 2 red line stations
October 20, 2011 - 05:41 am
WASHINGTON (AP) - Metro is planning track work on the red, blue and green lines this weekend, and the agency says customers should add up to 30 minutes to their travel times because of the work.
On the red line, buses will replace trains between the Fort Totten and New York Avenue stations beginning Friday at 10 p.m. The Rhode Island Avenue and Brookland stations will be closed.
On the blue line, trains will share one track between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road. Metro says all blue line customers should add 20 minutes to their travel time as a result.
And on the green line, trains will share one track between Fort Totten and Prince George's Plaza. Metro says customers should add 20 minutes to travel on the green and yellow lines.
