William & Mary pushes past New Hampshire 24-10
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) - Brent Caprio threw two touchdown passes to help William & Mary push past New Hampshire 24-10 on Saturday.
The Tribe (4-3, 2-2 Colonial Athletic Association) outscored New Hampshire 17-0 in the second half.
Caprio's 50-yard touchdown pass to Jonathan Grimes gave the Tribe the lead for good at 14-10 with 8:57 left in the third quarter. Caprio was 7 for 11 with 162 yards.
The win was the ninth straight over the Wildcats for William & Mary, which matched its highest point total of the season.
It was the lowest point total of the season for the Wildcats (4-2, 2-1), who had scored at least 22 points in each of its first five games.
New Hampshire led 10-7 after a 15-yards pass from Kevin Decker to R.J. Harris with 8 seconds remaining before halftime. Decker finished with 422 yards passing, but was intercepted once and sacked six times.
