Police have arrested and charged 33-year-old Tarkeyshia R. Brown with the stabbing murder of Jawan Parker last Sunday.

At approximately 8:20 pm, on Sunday, October 16, D.C. police responded to the 1900 block of I Street, NE, for the report of a stabbing. They found Parker, 31, of Northeast suffering from stab wounds.

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported Parker to a local hospital where he died from his injuries and was pronounced dead.

On Friday, at about 1:10 pm, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested and charged Brown with Murder One While Armed, under an arrest warrant in connection with the homicide of Parker.
