Would-be bankrobber wanted in Prince George's county

Police are searching for a woman who tried to rob the BB&T Bank in Beltsville, Md, Monday.

Shortly before 1 p.m., a female suspect walked into the Bank in the 11600 block of Beltsville Drive and passed a note to a bank teller demanding money, implying she had a gun. The bank employee pressed the holdup alarm and alerted other employees to the robbery. The suspect immediately fled on foot without receiving any money from the bank.

The suspect is described as a black female approximately 35-42 years old, around 5’7”, and weighing between 170-180lbs. She was last seen wearing a black hat, navy blue jacket, gray shirt, black shorts, white shoes, and was holding a black purse.
