Anthony Vindel, Delonte McKie's family thanks community
The family of two boys who were killed Friday night in a crash on Route 50 issued a statement thanking the community.
"Our family would like to thank the community for the outpouring of support and prayers we have received. As parents, your worst nightmare is to lose your children. The tragic events surrounding the deaths of Anthony and Delonte make the situation harder to bear. However, we find comfort in knowing our boys will be forever resting in Christ's arms, free from pain and suffering.
"Although our children's lives were short, they were very fulfilling. The friends our boys met along this journey contributed to an environment that was rich with joy and love. Our hearts and sincere prayers go out to the friends of Anthony and Delonte, especially the children, as they deal with their loss. Again thank you for your support and love.
God Bless, Gloria Vindel and Delonte Mckie, Sr."
