Bowie house fire leaves four with smoke inhalation
Four people suffered minor smoke inhalation injuries as the result of a house fire in Bowie early Friday morning, officials say.
Prince George's Fire spokesman Mark Brady says the fire broke out in at about 4 a.m. in a two-story home in the 14100 block of Pleasant View Drive.
One person, an adult male, was able to escape before firefighters arrived. The four other people inside, one adult and three preteen females, were rescued from the second floor. They each were treated and transported in good condition with smoke inhalation.
The fire reportedly started on the first floor and was quickly extinguished. An investigation into the cause of the blaze is underway.
