Jokes, Votes and more 'Steppin in it'...
JOKES, VOTES & MORE “STEPPING IN IT”…
So if Rick Perry "stepped in it," some might say Herman Cain can’t step out of it.
In other words, even as his campaign begins to potentially recover from sexual harassment claims, he may have ticked off some voters, yet again (remember his joke on Jimmy Kimmel live about the sensitive matter?).
This time, it occurred in Michigan during a campaign stop Thursday. Someone in a very small room of supporters joked out loud to him that Anita Hill might be coming by. Cain responded with a side-splitting laugh and the line “Is she going to endorse me?” and the guffaws continued.
To those who find absolutely no humor in the concept of even "alleged" sexual harassment, the joke won’t sit well.
Friday, on Veterans Day, Cain attended a couple of NYC fundraisers including at the Russian Tea Room. When a small group of reporters found him leaving through a service entrance asked him about the Anita Hill joke, this was his reply:
"I want to get back on message. That's not on message. I'm back on message. I want to fix this economy so people can go back to work, not continue all this attention on stuff that does not matter."
POLLS PROVE PROBLEMS:
A new CBS news poll shows despite another strong and steady performance by Mitt Romney Wednesday night, he still seems unable to retain the top spot in many voters’ minds.
That’s among likely GOP primary voters. But here’s the big x-factor. There’s still a huge portion of voters to be won over. 17% say they are undecided.
