CFL fight: Joe Kapp, Angela Mosca fight on stage at charity benefit
It was supposed to be a nice reunion for charity before the 99th Grey Cup. Then, it descended into fisticuffs.
Even stranger than that, the fight was between two most unlikely combatants.
The rift between Joe Kapp and Angelo Mosca, two former Canadian Football League greats, goes back to the 1963 championship game in which a controversial hit by Mosca on one of Kapp's teammates knocked him out of the game.
When the two came back together at an alumni luncheon preceding the the 2011 CFL title game between British Columbia and Winnipeg, that bad blood spilled over.
Watch what happened when Kapp tried to "make amends" with Mosca on stage.
"It was the most bizarre thing that's happened to me in 31 years in the game," comedian Ron James, who was emceeing the event, told the CBC.
