WASHINGTON (AP) - District of Columbia Mayor Vincent Gray and city officials are holding a groundbreaking for a new recreation center in northwest Washington.
Gray plans to be at the groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday. The new facility attached to Raymond Elementary School will include an indoor gym, computer lab, fitness center and game room as well as a playground. It will replace the current Raymond Recreation Center which has been closed to make way for the new building.
The new facility is expected to be completed in a little over a year.
