A Lanham man is facing numerous drug and weapons charges after authorities found over $500,000 worth of marijuana and several loaded guns in a Hyattsville business.
Prince George's County Police say that Dean Roy Thomas is being held without bond and also faces charges of first-degree assault.
Police say that on Nov. 2, Hyattsville City Police responded to a business in the 4800 block of Rhode Island Avenue on reports of an assault. The victim said that Thomas, the owner of a business across the street from his, fled to his place of business just after 7 p.m.
During a search of the building by police and K9 units, officers say they discovered 58 pounds of marijuana and three loaded handguns. Authorities say the drugs have a street value of $527,000.
The investigation into the charges is ongoing.
