Fairfax County election results: Bulova reelected as Board chairwoman
Fairfax County Board of Supervisors chairwoman Sharon Bulova won reelection on Tuesday night with a 59 percent majority in Tuesday's election.
Bulova easily breezed by Republican challenger Mike Williams to win her seat again.
In a slew of other Board of Supervisors elections in the county, Republicans Pat Herrity and Michael Frey, along with Democrats John Foust, Catherine Hudgins, Penny Gross, Jeff McKay, Linda Smith and Gerry Hyland all won seats.
In the race for Fairfax County Sheriff, Stan Barry took a 54 percent to 45 percent victory over Republican challenger Bill A. Cooper III. Barry has served as the County Sheriff since 1999.
The three open spots on the Fairfax County School Board will be filled by Iryong Moon, Ryan McElveen and Ted Velkoff.
