A Virginia man was killed Tuesday in a three-car accident that shut down a portion Lee Highway in Manassas, authorities say.
Police say that the driver of a dump truck was southbound on Lee Highway just after 2:30 p.m. when the driver crossed into the northbound lane, striking the rear side of a Ford F-350.
The dump truck lost control and struck a Honda CRV head on.
The driver and only occupant of the Honda CRV, 40-year-old Daniel S. Tulk of South Riding, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford truck, a 40-year-old Aldie woman, sustained minor injuries. Each of the victims was wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.
