Gary Giordano's lawyer quits
A lawyer representing Gary Giordano, the man accused of killing a Maryland woman in Aruba, has quit.
In a letter dated Nov. 8, Michael Lopez and Jurima Bryson state that Lopez Law won’t be representing Giordano.
“We wish Mr. Giordano all kind of success in his further endeavors,” the letter states.
Giordano has denied any wrongdoing and has said 35-year-old Robyn Gardner was swept out to sea while snorkeling. Her body has not been found but authorities on the island suspect him of involvement in her death.
Giordano, a businessman from Gaithersburg, Maryland, has been jailed on the island since Aug. 5. At the end of the 30 days, authorities must either release him or bring charges.
On Oct. 28, a judge ruled that Giordano would be held for another 30 days.
