Johnson pleaded guilty in June to destroying evidence in a federal corruption probe that also ensnared her husband, former County Executive Jack Johnson.

She is set to be sentenced on Dec. 9. On Monday, authorities released a sentencing memorandum and audio of wiretap recordings.

Authorities said Leslie Johnson flushed a $100,000 check down a toilet and stuffed cash in her bra on the day she was arrested with her husband.

"Put it in your bra and walk out or something, I don't know what to do," Jack Johnson allegedly told his wife after she called him to say that two women were at the door.

Agents who eventually searched Leslie Johnson recovered $79,600 from her underwear. The FBI was using court-approved wire taps to record the conversation.

Leslie Johnson was elected to the County Council shortly before the November arrest and was sworn in despite calls from several council members to step aside.

Derrick Leon Davis won the race to fill the Prince George's County Council seat vacated by Leslie Johnson.

Davis, a former school system official and current chairman of the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund, defeated Day Gardner, a businesswoman who ran unopposed in the Republican primary. With all 26 precincts reporting, Davis had 4,004 votes to Gardner's 389.
