J.R. Martinez to be grand marshal of Tournament of Roses

We hear a lot of news about catty Dancing with the Stars contestants. Or dancers who believe the judges were too harsh. So it’s nice when we hear some good stuff about the contestants.

DWTS contestant J.R. Martinez, who is an Iraq war veteran who was wounded, will be the grand marshal of the 123rd Tournament of Roses, reports Eonline.

Martinez will lead the Jan. 2 parade and will flip the coin before the kick-off of the 98th Rose Bowl game.

Martinez was burned when the Humvee he was in detonated a landmine.
