Kortneigh McCoy, Frostburg student, killed
A Frostburg State University student was killed in an attack off-campus early Sunday, officials said.
About 1:30 a.m., Frostburg City Police responded to Maple Street for an assault victim and discovered a female lying on the ground with trauma to her head, according to a news release from Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation.
She was taken to Western Maryland Hospital but died from her injuries.
