Lorenzo Carlton, Michael Jordan arrested for Alonzo James Guyton killing
Police arrested and charged two more suspects with the murder of a 24-year-old Howard University student in Mount Rainier.
Prince George’s County police charged Lorenzo Carlton, 21 and Michael Jordan, 18, with the murder of Alonzo James Guyton. Guyton was shot and killed on Oct. 25 in the 4200 block of Kaywood Drive.
Guyton played in the U.S Marine Drum and Bugle Corps. He was also a member of Howard's football and baseball teams. Close friends and baseball teammates joined him in church as late as the Sunday before his death.
Police arrested Carlton, of Silver Spring, on November 2 while Jordan, of Northeast D.C., is currently behind bars at the jail in D.C. on an unrelated charged.
Police say robbery was the motive in the homicide.
Police earlier charged William Knight, 20, of Northeast, with first-degree murder in connection with Guyton’s slaying.
