Man arrested in Popeyes robbery

Police have arrested an Upper Marlboro man suspected of an armed robbery of a Popeyes Restaurant in Mitchelville.
Curtis Lamar Ford, 28, of 300 block of Tamarack Court in Upper Marlboro, Md., is one of the suspects in the armed robbery, Prince George’s County police said in a news release. He was arrested Friday.
In the robbery on Nov. 4, two suspected entered the Popeyes in the 12100 block of Central Avenue with handguns. The suspects ordered two store employees to open the safe and place the money into a bag. They forced the victims into the walk-in freezer and fled the restaurant, police said.
