Man shot, killed in Adelphi after carjacking

A man was shot and killed in Adelphi Friday evening following a carjacking, police say.

Prince George’s County Police are investigating the homicide, which happened in the 9400 block Adelphi Road in Adelphi. Police were called shortly after 9 p.m. and found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Police are searching for three suspects who apparently fled after carjacking and crashing the victim’s car.

The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
