Body recovered after canoe capsizes in Ashburn

Authorities recovered the body of a man who went missing after the canoe he was in with a young boy capsized Sunday in Ashburn.
The man, who is not identified, was in the canoe at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday when it capsized. The child who was with the man was helped to shore by nearby witnesses and taken to a hospital as a precaution.
The man was not located. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Underwater Recovery Unit continued to search for the man throughout the night.
The body was recovered in Beaver Reservoir.
