Marcell Moore Jr. accused of stabbing man, taking daughter

ORIGINAL STORY: Fauquier County Police are searching for a man and his 6-year-old daughter early Wednesday morning after he allegedly stabbed the boy's mother's boyfriend and took off with the child.

Authorities are on the lookout for 27-year-old Marcell Moore Jr. after he broke into the Warrenton home where the girl, her mother and the mother's boyfriend live.

Police say that they responded to the home in the 4600 block of Dumfries Road, where they say Moore stabbed the mother's boyfriend while the couple was in bed. After a struggle with the child's mother, he took his daughter and fled.

The stabbing victim, a 26-year-old Bristow man, was flown to a Fairfax hospital.

Moore is facing breaking and entering charges as well as charges of malicious wounding.
