Metro police car hits tree, two other cars; three injured

Three people were injured following a crash involving a Metro police car Friday night.

Two officers were responding to a call near the 5800 block of Georgia Avenue Northwest with their lights and sirens flashing when the car hit a tree and two other cars, police said.

The two officers and a man from one of the cars were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

No other information was immediately available.
