Montgomery County school site search to start over
November 7, 2011 - 07:40 am
KENSINGTON, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County's schools superintendent says the site selection process for a new middle school in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase area is going to start over.
The school system had chosen Rock Creek Hills Park in Kensington but WTOP-FM reports that superintendent Joshua Starr recently asked the board to reconsider because of concerns raised by the community about the viability of the site and the process that led to its selection.
Starr says he hopes that even with the process starting over, he hopes a new school will open in fall of 2017.
