NBPA rejects latest labor propsal, moves to disband
NEW YORK (AP) — The NBA players have rejected the league's latest offer and are beginning the process to disband the union.

The decision likely jeopardizes the season.
Union executive director Billy Hunter says the players' association is prepared to file antitrust action against the NBA. He says this is the best situation for "players can get their due process."
Hunter says players were not prepared to accept the NBA Commissioner David Stern's ultimatum, saying they thought it was "extremely unfair."
An ESPN report says that the players union will now disband and become a trade association.
That legal move will allow the players to take anti-trust action against the league. NBA Players Association executive director Billy Hunter says the league has not been negotiating in good faith.
"The players feel that they are not prepared to accept any ultimatums," Hunter said.
