One-car crash ties up northbound traffic on I-270 at Clarksburg Road

Update 3:08 p.m.: All northbound lanes are now open.
A one-car crash on the median of I-270 at Clarksburg Road has caused a major traffic stoppage of northbound traffic. Two people in the car were injured.
One occupant of the vehicle, believed to be the driver, got out of the car, ran across the traffic lanes of I-270 and jumped 20 to 30 feet down an embankment.
Fire crews are in the process of bringing the patient up now to be transported to a hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
A second occupant of the car was taken from the vehicle with non-life threatening injuries.
Maryland State Police have now opened the left lane to allow traffic to move past the accident, but traffic is stacked up for a long distance.
