Over the past few months, parties and candidates have debated about what's best for the country. However, a new poll indicates that lawmakers have some work to do to change public opinion.

About 80 percent of Americans are dissatisfied with the federal government and of those, 31 percent are flat out angry which is an all-time high, according to an ABC News/Washington Post poll.

Thirty-five percent blame republicans in Congress while 32 blame President Obama; 26 percent say republicans and the president are equally at fault.

As for the republican field of presidential nominee hopefuls, Herman Cain remains the front-runner despite sexual harassment allegations.
