Sherman Circle robbery suspects still at large
November 25, 2011 - 09:23 am
D.C. Police are investigating an attempted early-morning robbery near Sherman Circle.
Police say that at about 1:40 a.m. Friday, the victims were returning to their home in the 4900 block of Kansas Avenue NW with a large-screen TV in the trunk of their car.
While they were parking, a group of suspects approached them, displayed a weapon and demanded money. One of the victims was struck in the head with the handle of a gun, police say.
Authorities say that one of the suspects may have fired a shot into the air as well. No one was struck by gunfire. The two suspects then got away in a black car, driven by a third person.
Police are on the lookout for two black men, both wearing black jackets and blue jeans.
