Stoney Creek Furniture in Charlotte Hall destroyed in fire

A southern Maryland Amish furniture warehouse is a total loss after an explosion and fire destroyed the building and merchandise early Wednesday morning.

Charles County authorities say that it took 45 firefighters more than an hour to extinguish the fire at the Stoney Creek Furniture warehouse on Bowling Drive in Charlotte Hall, Md.

No one was injured in the blaze, which caused $150,000 worth of damage.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
