Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, James Taylor rock Madison Square Garden
Happy one-day-out Thanksgiving from Arlo Guthrie and Daybreak Daily’s afternoon feast with the pop-culture world, which includes morsels about Taylor Swift, DWTS winner J.R. Martinez and mystery music offerings.
GARDEN PARTY: Fresh from her big night at the AMA, Taylor Swift wrapped up her tour Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden with two pals, James Taylor and Selena Gomez, per the AP, “Swift said her parents named her after Taylor, and the two performed his hit "Fire and Rain." Taylor also played the guitar while Swift performed her song "Fifteen." Gomez joined the country singer earlier in the night, where the two sang a duet version of Gomez's hit tune "Who Says." http://apne.ws/v8eCiW
PURPLE HAZE: In voting results announced Wednesday, Rolling Stone’s top guitarist of all time once again is Jim Hendrix. “Jimi Hendrix exploded our idea of what rock music could be: He manipulated the guitar, the whammy bar, the studio and the stage. On songs like "Machine Gun" or "Voodoo Chile," his instrument is like a divining rod of the turbulent Sixties – you can hear the riots in the streets and napalm bombs dropping in his "Star-Spangled Banner." http://bit.ly/vSygN1
PUCKER UP: After winning the title – and disco ball -- in Tuesday night’s Dancing With the Stars finale, J.R. Martinez told People he had but one wish, “"I want to sleep with this thing," the Dancing with the Stars champ, 28, alongside partner Karina Smirnoff, told PEOPLE after claiming victory over Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke Tuesday night. "I want to kiss it. I want to polish it. I want to do everything." For the war hero-turned-ballroom-big shot, the win with Smirnoff was the cherry on top of a season filled with "a lot of magical moments together on this show that'll we'll cherish and we'll carry with us the rest of our lives." http://bit.ly/tni2x0

STILL A BAD GIRL: At least around Brad, or so Angelina Jolie told 60 Minutes for an upcoming interview, per Radar, “Just because she’s a mother-of-six, a movie director and a United Nations ambassador doesn’t mean Angelina Jolie’s totally ditched her wild child ways. 'I'm still a bad girl,” Jolie tells CBS News’ Bob Simon in their upcoming 60 Minutes chat, which was conducted in Budapest. “I still have that side of me ... it's just in its place now ... it belongs to Brad [Pitt] or ... our adventures.” http://bit.ly/uBqqbx
