Two injured in separate stabbings overnight
Two people were injured in separate stabbings in the District overnight.
About 11 p.m., Metropolitan police responded to a stabbing in the 2900 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW, near the National Cathedral, for a woman who was stabbed multiple times, according to police.
The woman was conscious and breathing when she was taken to an area hospital.
Police are calling the incident domestic related and a man is in custody.
The woman is expected to survive.
Several hours later, at 2:25 a.m., two men got into an argument inside of the Stadium Club at 2127 Queens Chapel Road NE, police said.
One man brandished a knife and stabbed the other in the chest multiple times before fleeing the scene, according to D.C. Police spokesman Ofc. Anthony Clay.
The injured man was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
