Two steal money from Girl Scouts in Bowie
November 5, 2011 - 01:08 pm
Police are looking for two men who stole money from Girl Scouts in Bowie.
On October 28, a Girl Scout troop was selling cookies in front of a Wal-Mart located at 3300 Crain Highway.
A man approached and asked about the price of the cookies. He then grabbed the cash box and fled on foot.
A witness chased the man toward the rear of the Wal-Mart until a second man said he would catch the first.
Believing the second man was a Good Samaritan, the witness stopped chasing the man.
Both men were last seen entering the woods at the back of the Wal-Mart.
Security cameras showed both men in the store together.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bowie Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (301) 575-2480.
