'Take Back The Capitol' to march on K Street
December 7, 2011 - 05:43 am
Protesters from the "Take Back The Capitol" movement will be marching on Wednesday, and their actions are expected to cause traffic delays.
Marchers will make their way down K Street from Franklin Park to Farragut Square on Wednesday to demonstrate against corporate lobbyists.
DDOT says drivers in the area could face delays starting at about 11 a.m. Delays could last into the evening commute.
"Take Back The Capitol" protesters set up shop on the National Mall earlier this week.
While not officially affiliated with the Occupy movement, protesters have traveled to Washington to demonstrate against many of the same issues.
