Anthony Ross sentenced to seven months
December 13, 2011 - 03:15 pm
A former D.C. teacher who pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to register as a sex offender was sentenced Tuesday to seven months behind bars.
Anthony Ross, 43, was required to register as a sex offender after he was convicted in 1999 of having sex with a 15-year-old student while he was a teacher, attendance counselor and assistant coach at H.D. Woodson High School.
Authorities said Ross moved to Ohio and didn’t notify authorities or register as a sex offender there. Authorities apprehended him in the fall.
He was also sentenced to seven months home confinement.
