Capital Beltway lanes to be closed periodically throughout week
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — Construction work associated with the long-running Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project will result in lane closures on the Capital Beltway throughout the week.
The closures will occur near Telegraph Road in Alexandria and are expected to cause delays.
On Monday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the left lane of the inner loop will be closed between Eisenhower Avenue and Telegraph Road for barrier removal.
On Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the right lane of the outer loop will be closed between Eisenhower and Telegraph to install overhead signs.
And from Monday through Thursday night, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the left lane of the outer loop will be closed on that same segment for barrier removal.
All scheduled work is weather dependent.
