Another Christmas tree is set for lighting on Tuesday night - and this one traveled a long way to to get to D.C.

House Speaker John Boehner will lead the annual lighting of the Capitol Christmas Tree, a 63-foot-tall Sierra White Fir.

The 2011 tree weighs more than 4 tons and is 118 years old. It arrived from the Stanislaus National Forest in the Central Sierra Nevada Mountains of California last week.

It's only the fourth time that California has provided the Capitol Christmas Tree. The tree traveled over 4,500 miles to get to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol.

The tree will be adorned by nearly 5,000 ornaments and 10,000 lights. The lighting ceremony is set to begin at 5 p.m.

Last Thursday night, President Barack Obama led the lighting of the National Christmas Tree on The Ellipse. It was the inaugural ceremony for the first new tree at President's Park since 1978.
