Curtis Lopez, suspect in Jane and William McQuain murders, in court Friday
The man who stands accused of killing his estranged wife and 11-year-old son in October appeared at a preliminary hearing in Rockville on Friday and waived the hearing.
Authorities allege that Curtis Lopez is responsible for the murder of Jane McQuain and their son, William, in Montgomery County.
Lopez, 45, was arrested in North Carolina in mid-October, just days before William's body was found in the woods in Clarksburg.
On Oct. 12, Jane McQuain was found beaten and stabbed to death in her Germantown home.
Several days later, William's body was found in a wooded area off Clarksburg Road.
Lopez has been held without bond since Nov. 3.
