Francis Reed faces murder charges in the death of Amber Reed

A 21-year-old Vienna man has been charged with killing his 2-month-old daughter in Falls Church.

Francis Reed was initially charged with child abuse. But those charges were changed to murder after 2-month-old girl Amber Reed died.

The case started on Saturday, when police responded to the 7500 block of Parkwood Court in Falls Church at about 4 p.m.

When police arrived, they found Reed trying to give the girl CPR. She was rushed to an area hospital but later died.

Neighbor Jose Perez remember when Amber was brought home after being born.

"I've seen her... Care for the kid," Perez said.
