Giant Food Stores recalling Uncle Ben's rice
Giant Food Stores is voluntarily recalling Uncle Ben’s Whole Grain White Rice Garden Vegetable packages because they contain a milk allergen.
Giant is conducting the recall after its supplier, Mars Food, informed the company of the issue.
No illnesses have been reported and it is safe to eat for people without milk allergies, the company says.
Allergic reactions can include: Hives; flushed skin or rash; tingling or itchy sensation in the mouth; face, tongue, or lip swelling; vomiting and/or diarrhea; abdominal cramps; coughing or wheezing; dizziness and/or lightheadedness; swelling of the throat and vocal cords; difficulty breathing; loss of
consciousness.
