Gonzalo Adolfo Quevedo-Garcia charged with peeping Tom law violation
BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — An 18-year-old Maryland clothing store clerk is facing charges after a customer accused him of filming her in a changing room.
The Washington Examiner reports that a 24-year-old woman spotted the clerk's shoes near the fitting room door as she tried on jeans at the Guess store in the Westfield Montgomery Mall earlier this month.
She told Montgomery County police that she saw a cell phone on the floor in front of the clerk's feet in a way that made her believe that he was recording her.
When the woman opened the door, she saw the clerk cover the phone with his foot. She left and contacted police.
Police say they've charged Gonzalo Adolfo Quevedo-Garcia of Gaithersburg with violating the peeping Tom law and visual surveillance with prurient intent.
