Hillside Road shooting possibly a result of attempted robbery

D.C. police are investigating a shooing that took place in the Benning Ridge neighborhood of Southeast D.C. on Wednesday morning.

Police say the victim, who is described in very critical condition, was shot, possibly behind the ear, during a robbery attempt in the 4600 block of Hillside Road SE.
The suspect is described as a black male in a blue hooded sweatshirt and black cargo pants. He was last seen in the area of Benning Road SE, police say.
