Intercounty Connector tolls to begin again Monday
December 5, 2011 - 05:31 am
The free ride is over on the Intercounty Connector.
Starting Monday, tolls will be collected on the 18-mile highway that connects Interstate-370 in Gaithersburg to I-95 in Laurel.
Drivers had been able to use the new freeway for free since the second segment of the road opened in late November.
Tolls on the road, which are only collected via EZ-Pass, vary depending on the time of day that you travel.
The first seven miles of the road, which cost $2.55 billion to construct, opened in February.
