Jila Hamidieh struck by bus in Rockville

A 63-year-old Rockville woman suffered life-threatening injuries on Tuesday night after she was struck by a bus, police say.
Montgomery County Police say Jila Hamidieh, of Rockville, was trying to cross northbound Rockville Pike just before 6 p.m. when she was struck by a Ride On bus that was trying to turn right from Halpine Road.
Hamideh was taken to Suburban Hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the bus was identified as 58-year-old Fredy Oscar Velasquez of Rockville.
The incident is still under investigation.
