Juan Pablo Hernandez Rodriguez dies week after being hit by car

Five days after he was struck by a car in Fairfax, a 66-year-old man died from his injuries on Wednesday morning, police say.
City of Fairfax Police say that Juan Pablo Hernandez Rodriguez was crossing Eaton Place at about 5:15 p.m. on Dec. 23 when he was struck by a car driven by 44-year-old Kyung Boo You.
Police say that Hernandez Rodriguez was in a crosswalk and crossing with a walk signal when he was struck. He was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he was treated and released.
However, he later returned to the hospital, where medical examiners say that he died from internal injuries he sustained in the crash.
The driver was charged with failure to yield right of way to a pedestrian.
