Juan Pablo Hernandez Rodriguez killed in Fairfax City crash

A 66-year-old Fairfax man died from injuries he suffered after he was struck by a vehicle on Dec. 23 while crossing Eaton Place near the Chain Bridge service road.
Authorities identified the deceased as Juan Pablo Hernandez Rodriguez. He passed away on Dec. 28.
Police said he was struck at about 5:15 p.m. while walking in a cross walk with a “walk” sign activated.
Police charged the driver, Kyung Boo You, 44, of Fairfax, with failure to yield right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Speed and alcohol weren’t factors in the crash.
