And then there are those who haven't.

Shoppers are expected to rush to stores and malls across D.C. and the nation in search of the perfect, last-minute holiday gift. However, even if you ordered something online weeks ago, you might be out of luck.

Online shoppers across America are getting thrown a Christmas curveball after Best Buy announced that they would not be able to fill several online orders.

Some people who bought computers and other electronics as far back as November are being told that "overwhelming demand" is causing stocking problems for the chain.

"I'm just not going there," one Best Buy shopper told ABC News. "I'm just not purchasing there anymore."

The company's response doesn't offer much:

"Due to overwhelming demand of hot product offerings on BestBuy.com during the November and December time period, we have encountered a situation that has affected redemption of some of our customers' online online orders."

However, if you're up a gift creek without a paddle, there's still time. Many major retailers are extending their store hours on Friday and Saturday.

Toys 'R Us, along with some Macy's and Old Navy stores, will stay open around the clock through Christmas Eve.

But for Best Buy's online customers, luck isn't on their side. The company is not going into detail about which items or how many orders were canceled. It's bad news for a company that saw web sales jump 15 percent this holiday season.
